Sip into the holidays: San Diego coffee shops to visit this Winter
Lobby Cafe at Lafayette Hotel
Did you know the Lafayette hotel has a hidden coffee bar? Right at the front desk where you’d normally check in, you’ll find a bright red La Marzocco espresso machine serving a classic coffee menu. While they aren’t offering any seasonal drinks, this spot is still so worth the visit.
The hotel lobby and bar area was beautifully decorated with lights, garlands, and Christmas decor from top to bottom that instantly put me in the holiday spirit. I ordered an Earl Grey oat milk latte and picked a table by the bar to soak up the incredible holiday ambiance. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee or a cocktail, I highly recommend checking it out before the season wraps up!
S3 Coffee Bar
I’d been meaning to visit S3 Coffee for a while, and I’m so glad I finally made it during the holidays. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming exterior—inside, this coffee shop is a cozy haven with gorgeous decor and festive Christmas touches throughout. The spacious layout makes it an ideal spot to relax or get some work done. I tried the holiday brûlée latte, and not only was it beautifully presented, but it also tasted incredible—sweet, creamy, and perfectly festive. I had such a great experience and can’t wait to return to explore more of their drinks and food menu!
Ryan Bros Coffee in City Heights
I couldn’t resist making the trip to Ryan Bros Coffee to try their viral Christmas Espresso Flight—and it did not disappoint! For $16, we got to sample four festive drinks: a gingerbread latte, eggnog latte, tiramisu latte, and spiced candy cane mocha. Each one was delicious and full of holiday cheer, and the presentation was top-notch. If coffee isn’t your thing, they also offer a hot chocolate flight that’s just as fun and festive. Both flights will be available until January 5, so there’s still time to check them out before they’re gone!
